In 2008, SHuT was formed to spread awareness in Northwest Arkansas regarding the human trafficking epidemic within the US and the world. We are a group of women, men, students, professionals, and humanitarians striving to bring light into darkness. As of June 2008, we have been the Arkansas chapter of the national Not For Sale Campaign. You can view our 'rent's site at www.notforsalecampaign.org.
SHuT plans to spread awareness and raise funds through numerous, local service projects. One national and one international group (to be determined) will receive the funds raised.
SHuT is open to any volunteer regardless of sex, race, religion, or location. Our hope is to include as many people, organizations, and companies as possible.
SHuT's values are based on the belief that every person has worth and a good purpose because they are made and loved by God.
The fact that we are loved means that we are able to love, so our faith motivates our actions.
Is SHuT only for Christians?
By all means, no! We welcome any help from any person, organization, or company focused on bettering people's lives and fighting injustice.
